Homewood doesn’t need politics. It needs practical leadership that reads the fine print, asks the tough questions, and makes decisions that reflect the voices of the people who live here.
Trust in local government has been tested in recent years. Too often, important decisions are made behind closed doors, leaving residents out of the process until it’s too late. That’s not how local government should work.
As your councilor, Chris will work to restore trust by being honest, consistent, and transparent. He will lead with integrity, tell the truth, and keep his word. Chris believes Homewood deserves a better way of doing business—one rooted in openness, accountability, and respect for the people who live here.
Chris isn’t running for a title—he’s running to represent the people of Homewood. As a lifelong resident, business owner, and father who raised his family in this city, he understands what matters most to our community.
Chris believes city government should be a partner to its citizens, not an authority over them. He will keep our priorities grounded in what’s best for the people who live here and work to empower residents as true stakeholders in Homewood's future.
Recent issues uncovered by a state audit, including financial mismanagement and lack of oversight, are unacceptable. Chris will ask the tough questions, examine every expenditure, and ensure that policies follow best business practices. He will take seriously the council’s responsibility to provide oversight and work collaboratively with the City Manager to ensure city operations are well-managed and accountable.
Chris believes accountability means more than just showing up—it means providing clear information, making decisions in the open, and respecting the public process.
He will work to increase transparency by supporting the publication of detailed city expenditures and easy-to-understand explanations of proposed projects. Chris will listen before acting, and keep residents informed every step of the way.
Chris is a proud product of Homewood schools and raised his children in the same system. He knows firsthand how vital our schools are to the success of our city.
Chris is committed to keeping Homewood schools the top-ranked schools in Alabama—and helping them stay that way by giving them the resources they need to continue thriving and plan for the future.
As your councilor, he believes his role is also to get out of their way so they can keep doing what they do best. Strong schools help create strong neighborhoods and a thriving city. Chris will always support them.
